What I am sending as my first entry to Meeta's Blogger Postcards from the World is a postcard that I bought last Sunday at Schloss Benrath on the outskirts of the city of Düsseldorf. Schloss Benrath is a castle from the late 18th century with a huge park, which measures 612,000 square metres (!) .
My postcard has the aerial view of the castle and the park. I hope, the recipient of this card likes it. (Nope...I'm not telling you the name!)
;-)
Below is a photograph of the castle taken by me. And that is a virtual postcard from me to all of you. Hope you like it! :)

Nice Architecture.Beautiful picture.
Kamakshi
Vaishali, The idea of showing the real palace and its postcard is really good
What an amazing looking castle!
Good grief, it looks like an iced wedding cake! :)
Adorable...but whats with the pink color???
It looks even better when you are standing close to it, Kamakshi. :)
Thanks, Anupama.
You like it, Pam? Maybe pay a visit? Germany isn't far from Switzerland!
Do you reckon, Shammi? Let me go have a look at the picture again. :)
Ashwini, I think we were writing our comments at the same time. :) Well, I don't really know why it has this pink colour. But many castles and mansions around here have these ice-cream colours, you know. Maybe because the aristocrats wanted to have a summery feeling even in colder days? I'm just guessing.
Beautiful pictures Vaishali. My brother had visited Germany in 2002 and he said it is the most beautiful place he has ever visited (compared to US, France, Australia, Singapore etc).I hope some day I will get an opportunity to visit Germany. Wish I could meet you there, it will be like icing on the cake :D.
Beautiful!!!! I like ur postcard. Wonder who´s gonna receive it.
Oh! is the second one your house? hehehe.. Just kidding! :-)
Lovely choice, Vaishali!
Cool. Must have been a real nice place to visit isnt it?
TOA
Wow the castle looks so cute:)It would have been wonderful to be there in person:)
Well ok, not a wedding cake, if you're going to be nit-picky, Vaish :) But definitely a pink iced cake! :) Pete and I went to one somewhere near Bonn (cant remember the name now) and it looked like a large iced structure too!
Shilpa, your brother has been to soooo many countries? If he, after having been in almost all continents, says that Germany is the most beautiful, then he must be right. As for me...I like this country anyway. :)
Pushpa, you'll know once that person has received my postcard! ;-)
LG, no it's not mine yet. But I am making my husband work towards it. ;-) Once I buy it, you'll be the first to know. ;-) ;-)
You always praise me, Linda. (Not that I have anything against it! :0)
You are welcome, Paz. And thanks for stopping by.
It was indeed, TOA. Also so for my in-laws. :)
Sumitha, I think, compared to the place where you live, this one isn't as beautiful. Honestly.
Shammi, *chuckle* *giggle* *chuckle* *giggle* :)
Hey Vaish,
